Any pros/cons to a longer vs shorter coupler? I plan to order the 8'' rather than the 6'' as I feel that the extra inch will provide for a more robust connection without the use of shear pins. My dual deploy system vision utilizes only one airframe separation point, at upper mid airframe. Nose cone will be permanently glued. The resultant payload section will house tracking and flight gizmos. Archetype cable cutter for main. Any experience or knowledge shared is greatly appreciated!

My advice is definitely go with a longer coupler. Shorter couplers have less shoulder stability and can result in pre-mature separation or buckle failure.
