I'm looking at Google Earth and see this RV park.
Directly East out in the Desert is a small air field.
This looks like a great place to launch rockets.
Does anyone on this forum know anything about this?
Is it Govn't owned? Private? Can we launch there?
Any info or a link to where I can find info would be helpful.
Thank you kindly.

On google map it has the ramp area censored out.
Must be something secret.
The tracks on the runway looks like a drag strip and turning type racing on ramp.
Most of the old auxiliary fields are on the gunnery range.

It's Government land. DOD, Air Force. I wouldn't risk it, plus it is technically Class D airspace above 300' AGL, or restricted airspace. I think the airfield is just on the restricted airspace side.

Follow the road going by this airport to the east and there is something odd. Maybe a "town" for the marines to practice in.

I know in the east end of the Golwater Range permission can be had to enter to drive around, hunt, etc. we had a person trying to find a contact at Luke AFB to launch but no one was found. Vast areas of the range are seldom used.

Yea, I seen that area to the East too. I wondered what the heck that was.
Maybe a gateway station for the Mexicana's coming across the border, or the poor soles trying live off the land.
Couldn't quite make out the structure. Kinda looked like some kind of stackable pallets and storage containers.
I'm all over google earth looking for a place to move to so I fly rockets.
