Hello,

I was talking about the flight of this vehicle in the electronics sub-forum and someone pointed out that I should post some photos of the beast.

This is the first Rocket built by Space Concordia, a student society in Concordia University. While the competition takes place every year, it took us 2 years to build this vehicle (because of money and technical issues and lack of experience). But anyways, it finally launched this past June and it looked beautiful! Here Are some of the photos of the Rocket and the team in the time leading up to the launch and on the launch site:

Fins are on backwards! :D :D

looks really great! Where did you launch from? On what? Altitude?

Will it be hanging in the Mech hall among the SAE heavy lift planes?!

Cudos to you & the team!

The fins are as backwards as they need to be!

The rocket was launched from near Green River, Utah with an M1540 motor from Cesaroni. It flew more than 10,000 feet carrying a 10 lb payload.

Unfortunately, it won't be hanging from the ceiling in the EV building, but it will probably be going in one of the cases on the 10th floor of the Hall building.

I was out there at the IREC launch - just on one of the days for about 4-5 hours though. I didn't see this particular rocket fly. But it's a pretty cool event with lots of interesting projects.

Hope you make it out there again next year. In the meantime, come hang out with us more on the forum,

Team 16B - you guys had a good flight! I was one of the judges this year at IREC. Looking forward to next year.

Thanks! I hope to see you (and your dog) next year! Hopefully we'll be able to learn from our experiences and bring in something really good.

Congratulations to the team. Great Achievement.
Wish they had such a program back in my days at Concordia.
And nice touch with the superhero paint job.
