Hi i recently acquired some plugged engines. What are they used for. I have never seen a rocket that uses them. Does anyone know what estes use plugged D and E engines.
 
They were for the Estes RC rocket glider that were made in the late 90's or so.
 
And if you use a dual deploy system, you can use them in a rocket.
 
They're also great for small "cup and saucer" type rockets. :grin:

Good for rockets with a 3-in-line cluster in the outboards. I fly with a TRA club that's wasn't so concerned with the "modified motor" thing like a NAR is. I recently built a 3-in-line cluster for 24mm motors but the availability is better for plugged D's than anything else but if I have to then out comes the epoxy and....
