I need a 5" diameter, 1/4" thick aluminum disc. Preferably with a 1" center hole, but if it has a 1/4" center hole, I can cut a 1" hole with a hole saw. Anybody know of a good online source for something like this?

Check your local steel suppliers they often have a plasma/laser cutting service and will do the job for less than you think.

Talk to the local "Sheet metal" people too. chances are, a 5" disc is easily cut when they're cutting other jobs..

I want to put it on my lathe, for touching up chisels as I turn. Like this, but I need it to be smaller, and I don't need the rest.

I made one for my old lathe out of 1/4" masonite, and it actually worked well. I thought aluminum would be better.
