Short answer... No.

I'm standing at 200+ (probably more than 230). I'm looking at several more.

Blasphemy, I know...

...

Yes. :duck:

That said, I like your list. Unique and eclectic !

I have 4 in the build pile:

Estes V2 - warranty gift for an E12 cato
Quest Terrier-Orion - the last one I spent my own money on
Estes Ricochet - gifted
Space Shuttle plastic model conversion.

The numbers thrown around on this forum numb my mind. I'm in the minority, I know.

If you have the funds and the space to store them and they keep you outta trouble..no.

That's the limitation here, and we live in a 3400 square foot house! But keep you out of trouble? Not sure how that's gonna work...
We have 52 active rockets ready to fly, probably another 10 to 15 in the build pile. I like your mix of rockets, but you need to move more of them out of the build pile into active service.

Agreed. But I have found at times the space, occasional mess, and time devoted to rocketry (vs doing chores) has gotten me into trouble.......
You can't have too much of a good thing!

But you may not want to take my advice. I am one of those with the "mind numbing" piles of rockets and kits

There is a limit, and I'm currently right there at it. For me, it's not a set number --- it's the space they take up, and that has a lot to do with size. Now that I'm flying bigger rockets, I can't really store as many.

I am humbled by your presence. 230 damn...

Yeah... time is the my limiting factor. Between work, the kids (two active
teenagers, but one drives now that is a huge help), the farm (my wife is the
farmer, she have over 200 animals, mostly chickens, spent a good part of
this weekend building a hog enclosure, hunting, shooting, reloading, fixing
things around here (one of our Great Pyrenees has decides he likes jumping
through the window screens) ah life it is so wonderful and varied...

My shop is 24'x24', and contains, rockets, guns reloading, machine shop,
welding shop squeezed in the gaps wood shop and mechanics shop. I have
a friend who refers to it as the TARDIS.

What you haave are too many unbuilt kits! Build them & fly them!
Yeah, I know, I working on it. I wont mention the Guillow's B-17 that I have
been working on for over 20 years. Started it when I was just dating my wife.
May was 20 years of marriage...

Don't ask my wife.
LOL, mine is fine with it. Really she has no room to complain with her hobbies...

When the accumulated mass of your rocket collection throws the Earth off its axis; you know you have too many rockets.

I don't build scale rockets and only a very few that I build because I like to display.

My rockets are flyers. If they don't fly any more, I usually give them away to n00bies wanting to sample the hobby.

My active fleet consists of about about 10-15 rockets.

Your build pile exceeds your active fleet. I have two flying, two in production, one in the build pile. If I ever get as bad as these people, I'll have to quit! :)

Trust me it just happens I used to think that two or three was enough, but my active fleet currently consist of 15 Hpr/Mpr and 45 lpr.

I've got 3 HPR and 2 MPR. The kids have 4 MPR and 6-8 LPR. We only have 3 that aren't built and 1-2 that need repairs.

This is my (low power) build pile at the moment...

BnDfBGZ.jpg

I don't have the space to store them in any other format than kit right now. Oh, and I have another pile of high power kits, too.

Perhaps there is a need for a RA... Rockets Anonymous...

Hello, I'm Mr K and I have a rocket problem....

Krusty

NO I have more than 300 in all sizes from 1/4 A flyers to 8 in in dia You just need the space to store them, I have them hanging, stored in tubes vertically, and standing in numerous places in my garage. I only have 1 in the house ( its a G powered N.Coast rocketry X-Wing) I'd post pics but I haven't posted pics since they made it a PIA

I agree space is the key.
Not realizing how many one has until you decide to empty the "Rocket Room" for cleaning - then it becomes apparent. Reality check...
Not including LPR (well over a hundred), the build piles, and a couple new monsters built and being built...
Once they were all back in the rocket room and in their places, it didn't look nearly so bad. No addiction here!

There is some seriously cool stuff in that pile, especially the big Iris and Bull Pup.

For the OP.
No, I don't care what anyone says.
I have more in the build pile that can fly.
And it will always be that way.
Plus, I have collectors that I will leave my sons.
And the wish list is bigger than the build pile.
I don't have a count, but I bet I have over 100 easy.
Plus, enough balsa, plywood and various other parts to probably make another 50 rockets.
Either scratch builds or reproductions and/or upscales.
And I won't even touch base on the RocSim files I have.
It's a way of life.
Accept it. Love it. Live it.
And make the better 1/2 understand your home out of trouble instead of hanging out at the bar or a friends place getting drunk (or other things).
Very few things in life will make you happy.
I for one, am glad I have rocketry to fall back on after I lost my woodshop.
And, I do leather craft as well.
So, NO. By all means, NO.
Enough will never come because there is always the next one...
