There are various methods to organize and store launch control cables. This is the method that we have used and it has worked very well for us. We keep our cables stored by rolling them up on a water hose type storage reel. When we built the cable set we tied a rope into the cable bundle. For us, we have Ethernet cables that are 100' and 200', and a third cable that can be attached to the end to make it an additional 300' or more. A wooden stake is attached at the end of the rope so we can pull on the stake/rope to unwind the cable bundle out neat and straight without stressing the Ethernet cables. When we unwind the reel the cable ends drop off at the pads at the 100’ and more marks. The stake can also be put in the ground to help secure the cable in place. We then put orange plastic cones over the cable bundle to help mark the cable since the grass can sometimes be long. We use different colors for the cables to represent low, mid, and high power pads to help keep the cables better organized. The launch controllers are by Dog House Rocketry. See pictures.
