Yessir ,I built this kit many years ago ,when I was just a kid and getting into rocketry.This build will bring back fond memories of of my childhood and simple times.

If you're interested,the Atlantis is by coincidence, the same "scale" as the 1/1000 scale TOS USS
Enterprise model from Round 2/AMT. The nacelles may be a touch heavy for flight,but it sure adds to the look for a static display model.

I have been busy at work and in my spare time working on the Atlantis. This is a fun but challenging build and would make a great bring back kit for Estes if they wanted to. I sealed the balsa with Aerogloss balsa sealer, primed with a coat of grey primer and followed with glossy white top coat. When the paint dries I will apply the old decals.
