Was it a few years ago that a Thread was started on this Rocket? I printed the Fin Pattern and went to work. The Red Max Cone is a Tougher Find, but I had a used Prowler Cone, so that's what you see here. It looks closer to Scale, too, I think. There's not much Scale in this rocket, so I'll just relax.Screen Shot 2015-07-17 at 7.59.33 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2015-07-17 at 8.00.02 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2015-07-15 at 11.01.41 PM.jpg

I found these images of an old renwal 1/32 Plastic Model Kit, online. I'm thinking It'd be a Tremendous Mistake, of Unrecoverable Attitude, if I were to not replicate this gentleman's Color Scheme, on my own Hawk Missile.

The Hawk is one of my favorites. However I have had both the original and clone break at the fin root, you can see the crack on the top model. I believe that I did not use a large enough parachute, however next time I will use basswood for the fins, or paper them for added strength.

How 'bout a Neptune-y Color Scheme? I bet the Poppy Red'll look okay up top.
