BC rocket clubs

Just wondering if there is any rocket clubs in BC. I am in Kelowna and flying solo

Well I guess this means there is no clubs in BC. Does anybody know where a good place to fly would be near Kamloops or salmon arm or even Kelowna?

Based on my understanding of the current summertime conditions of the BC interior rocket launches could represent a significant fire hazard. If you want to drive a bit to Calgary, one of the best model rocket contests in Canada is being held in August. If you want to head south of the border, there are excellent rocket clubs in Eastern Washington and a very large high power meet in mid May of every year in Mansfield, WA.

There is no active BC rocketry clubs operating at the moment. The BC rocketry club has been dissolved. I often do mid power rocket launches on my own -'but with the current fire risk on the South Island - it's a no go from May until late September.

Hi there. I know this thread is a few years old but... Anyone there in BC? We're in the lower mainland looking for a place to launch our first rocket. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
