Mega Baron has been one of my most reliable R/C gliders. Now I have a smaller version.

Squirrel Works has this kit in two different sizes, 18mm and 24. Here the two birds sit together on my bench. One has dozens of flights on it, the other waiting for its first flight.

Sure! Anything in particular you want to know? Also, it hasn't flown yet :) I worry some about the relatively higher wing loading and drag from the radio gear.

I found the Red Baron pretty finicky. I'm surprised the Mega you have can trim out with all the weight in the rear.

I leave the casing in after burnout :=)

Both Barons have the same CG--both without ballast.

Flight today was a failure. The boost started out straight, but the model pitched up about 70' in the air, and caught me by surprise. It may benefit from a slower motor than C6, and from significant amounts of down trim. It's rebuildable, but in 4 pieces now.

However, this flight was a success today. Maiden of a HobbyKing RadJet800 conversion on D12-7.
