Just completed. I have to do some doctoring on the fin roll pattern as I was to lazy to mask off, and instead attempted hand brushing it. A fine brush and semi-steady hand should resolve any flaws....at least that I can live with. This was meant to fly, rather than being a static display. It's nice that they brought back the balsa fins as opposed to the all plastic fins from a few years back. This is my first Redstone.....possibly not the last.

Looks good. I've been trying to get my hands on one but when I finally commit to buy one it's out of stock.

Looks great! Mine's been on backorder at Tower since March. Not sure why they are so late in getting their supply.

The kit was orinally by Centuri, which had multi-piece balsa fins and depicted the MR-7 mission. The re-release had Liberty Bell 7 but MR-7 on the booster instead of MR-8.

Nice job! That looks great. The Redstone is one of my favorite rockets. I've been waiting to get one of these since it was announced, but it has been out of stock for quite a while.
I finally managed to get my hands on one at LDRS, from Animal Motor Works. It has been added to the build soon pile.

I believe the delay in restocking has to do with some decal issues. The reds were washed out (almost pink) and the mission number above the fin should read MR8 for the Liberty Bell.
The MR7 designation was for Alan Shepards flight.

Cool. Been waiting months for them to come back in stock

The vintage Centuri Mercury Redstone is certainly a very high quality model. I had mine still in-the-bag for many years before I got around to finally building it a few years ago. It flies nice, but a little nose weight is needed as it's marginally stable as is. Pic below was the last time I flew it last October 2014 down at Needville, TX (the launch site of the Old Rocketeers NAR Section # 724).
