I have a BRB900 that has served me very well for the past few years. In the last 6 months it had been showing its age, at at the last launch, I noticed that the aerial wire had broken its solder joint and was loose.

I was in luck, as Big Red Bee was onsite as a vendor.

Less than 30 mins later, the unit had been repaired and it was back in my rocket!

THANK YOU BIG RED BEE!!!

With the BRB devices the battery loops around the end of the board. What people fail to realize is the mounting holes on the board are meant to be used for mounting the device on the sled. Some stuff the tracker free inside any old bay and the G-forces on the free mounted board shear the battery wires against whatever thrust block is behind the board. Lo' and beholden, no signal. I love my BRB RDF and APRS trackers but have witnessed failure with others from poor mounting technique. Kurt
