Not sure if this is the right place, or if I should have put it in techniques.
But is there a drawing somewhere that shows how a cable cutter works?
I can't get my mind around this no matter how much I read.
But I've always was able to learn more from hands on than from a book.
Thanks

think of a gun barrel with a hole across the bore, the wire tie is placed through the hole, when the powder fires the piston (bullet) goes down the bore breaking the cable tie, at the end of the bore is a small o-ring bumper and a hole (smaller than bore, so piston doesn't exit) to vent pressure from in front of piston, powder pressure is vented out hole cable tie was through after piston passes.

Similar to this drawing.
