I know that there has been some talk about the difference in altitude from changes in fin profile, squared edges vs rounded edges vs airfoil and what open rocket predicts. running flight sims on an A-20 demon OR gave the following; D12, square 736', rounded 1048', airfoil 1090'. E18, 1214', 1722', 1796'. realistically what sort of figures should I be seeing for squared fin edges? a difference of 30% seems a bit high. thanks,
Rex

FWIW:
In the 90's, I backtracked a flight summary drag coefficient of 0.66 for an unfinished and square-profile Big Bertha on a C6. The same rocket finished and streamlined yielded a Cd of .51. (Three flights for each)

In TR11, Gerald Gregorek got a flight summary drag coefficient of 0.975 for a square-profile Alpha, and .650 for a finished Alpha. (His DATCOM predictions were 1.03 and 0.448 respectively)
