Any recommendations for places to eat?
Or places to avoid?
I looked at the menu for the hotel restaurant and it is $$$.

Eddie O's is good BUT LOUD, like and airport runway loud!
The mexican joint is good if you like almost authenticate mexican. Real Mexican would require a bought of Montezuma's revenge.

The restaurants in the Ramada may be a bit pricey but WOW are they GOOD!

Not to mention you are in wine country, and there are a wineries around that offer great some liquid refreshment.
BTW, that's wine, not whine. There will be no opportunity for whine at LDRS... none! ;)

molcajete's is a good mexican family restaurant https://molcajetesgeneva.com/
Eddy O'Brien's is a nice https://eddieobriens.net/
Parker's is great and next door to eddy's https://www.parkersgrille.com/
Beef and Brew is fantastic https://beefandbrewgeneva.com/
Torrey park is kinda fancy Italian stuff https://www.torreypark.com/ordereze/default.aspx

I'll post more later...

adding a couple to the list. These are all places either I have been or have been recommended to me...

Ports Cafe https://www.portscafeny.com/
Halsey's (right next to Eddy's and Parker's!) https://www.halseysgeneva.com/
Cam's Pizza is always good https://camspizzeria.com/

if you want kick ass authentic mexican go to Rio Tomatlan in Canandaigua! https://www.riotomatlan.com/

here are a few in Penn Yan,
Silverbird in Penn Yan has great local beers and wood fired pizza, and full espresso bar https://plus.google.com/106600872226343853910/about?gl=us&hl=en
real fried chicken and homemade ice cream, Seneca Farms! https://senecafarmsny.com/

I second Riley's recommendation of Rio Tomatlan in Canandaigua, if you're looking for good Mexican food. Keep in mind, folks, that the official hotel might be in Geneva, but Canandaigua is more or less the same distance from the launch site. Lots of choices there too, not to mention all of the other towns & villages within reasonable distance, plus lots of wineries & breweries.

Show of hands... How many people thought that this was a spammer's post, until you saw who posted it?

Man those threads seem to be easy to spot... Always beginning with a sentence fragment that is obviously randomly pulled out of some news feed.

Thanks, I checked out the websites and they all look good.
We should not starve.

One thing will learn about upstate New Yorkers, if you don't already know.. we love to eat and have all sorts of great food..
Not to mention we are the home of beef on weck, chicken wings, the hamburger, and of course sponge candy! :)

My son and I just ate at the hotel restaurant - acceptable but nothing to write home about. So I didn't write home about it. Will be looking for alternatives for Saturday night.

And..if there are other folks like me with young ones in tow (mine is 9) pm me - might be fun to pick a place and have a group w kids go out together on Friday night.
