WOW, what an event!
The day after and so many impressions are floating through my head... I had a blast, that is for sure!
NSL 2015 has to be the best event of this kind that I personally have attended.
I'd like to thank all who were involved in setting up and running this wonderful event! Great job everyone!
I've never met so many fine and friendly people at one spot. It was a pleasure for me having so many nice and interesting conversations.
I thought I had the furthest trip coming from Germany but I was beaten hands down.
My compliments to the chef. This was the best food I have ever had on an event like this!
I had great success with all my flights. No mishaps and all recovered to fly again.
My repaired Estes Maxi Alpha 3 had 2 nice flights:
My dual deploy 2-stage Estes Mongoose also had 2 very successful flights reaching 989 and 1080 feet:
My personal most anticipated flight was my Estes Elliptic II launch.
The goal was to fly the smallest 2-stage model rocket with electronic dual deploy in an attempt for an unofficial world record.
I was extremely delighted that the whole flight was a complete success and a crowd pleaser as well.
The rocket reached an altitude of 246 feet with the main parachute deploying at 126 feet.
The altitude could have been higher but due to strong winds the rocket weather coked and thus didn't fly straight up.
My 2-stage Estes Ascender with electronic 2nd stage ignition had one very successful flight.
The rocket reached an altitude of 1178 feet using a CTI F59 and Estes F15 motor:
I'll be posting more details with more pictures and videos in separate threads when I'm back in Germany.
If anyone was pictures and/or videos of any of my flights, please contact me via PM. Thanks.
Now to rest as these 3 days were very much fun but also very exhausting....
