Curious, this last picture looks like the shock cord is outside the lower airframe opening. Was it attached on the outside?

Tim, the paint held up great. I'm glad I had it cleared with automotive clear.

Will, I blew up the picture and you're right! The shock cord is "outside" the body tube. It hooked on the upper rail button during ejection.
 
This was at an emergency airfield about 20 miles east of Quartzite.

Congratulations! I'm hoping to make a launch with the SSS group soon too. Just need my schedule to free up on their monthly launch schedule.

Not for my L1, <<yet>> - but just to get active with a club.
 
Thanks, everyone. Especially to you, Guy! Guy was kind enough to lend me his 38 to 29mm motor adapter so I could get another flight in, as well as rescuing me with a twiggy igniter when an aerotech igniter failed. Who knew my buddy would bring the one 38mm rocket he has...
