Okay, it took a few weeks longer than I hoped, mostly because I forgot, but this is actually really cool.

The hatch from the Apollo 1 capsule is on display at Kennedy and it's located in a little room at the end of the Saturn V building. I almost missed it. There is a bank of TVs showing a short video about the fire. I almost walked by and then I noticed the TVs change into clear glass (that in itself is WAY cool) and behind them is the hatch. So I stood through the video again and recorded the video changing so I could post it here.

There is a reflection on the TVs that looks a little like you can see the hatches through the TVs before they change, but you can't. It's only a reflection.

It's a little annoying that the don't have these in a more prominent place so you can see it all the time instead of waiting for the short time the TVs are transparent - but it's better than nothing.
