Sadly I missed this flight as we were out recovering a rocket; trying to get it out of a tree to be precise lol. Hopefully I'll get to see the P flight.
Wait...there are trees in Kansas?

Well the bad luck started when I dumped my main at over 28,000 feet lol. I managed to find the grove of trees southwest of Argonia Road and K-44. Here's the kicker; had the thing drifted about 20 more feet it would have overflown the trees and landed in the field.

Looking forward to seeing everybody!
Jackie has been preparing for Friday night at the rocket pasture for us and a few friends
I think each one of these is about 8 lbs and she is making like 7 of them.

Oh you can find them if you try hard enough
I've checked the T-Mobile coverage map for the "pasture"
Anyone have real "field" reports on efficacy of T-Mobile 4G out there?
TIA, and see y'all out there.
Don't know, but verizon doesn't work real well for data, cell worked fine.
Chris, where Wayne and I were located, up closer to the fence line, I didn't have trouble with Verizon data, but we have a booster. The further "downhill" the worse the connection.
Sorry MWC - I don't have T-mobile but a booster would help any signal out there.
Are you freakin kidding me......
You could fit a child inside that thing.........
Like I said,,, man,, I cain't wait for this launch.....
By the way,,,
Try this---

You'll never sand off unwanted paint again.......
Wayyyy too easy to remove paint and start fresh......

Is it safe to use on fiberglass tubes? It says "Its also effective at removing varnish, shellac and epoxy"
Yes,,
That is exactly what I use it on..
I pretty much build out of glass exclusively...
I just like it better then other materials...
I left it on long enough to break down the paint then scrap it off with a razor blade...
Then one more application,, 10 min or so then scrub with a green scrungy scouring pad...
It's not on anywhere near long enough to begin to break down the glass or epoxy in it....
After the last application simple green and a green scrungy...
Then end result....
Spotless,, you'd think it was a brand new tube...
I'd guess you'd have a concern if you used the stronger paint removers...
This one isn't that strong...
That's exactly why I tried it,, because they all say they will attack epoxy / glass...
Try it on an old piece of glass tube that has paint on it....
If I need a fresh start...
I'll never go back to sanding...

Well that's really cool. I spent an inordinate amount of time sanding my ultimate Wildman and then re-painting it . I will give this product a try.
My fleet ready for packing.

Building charges and motors Sunday, eBay prep Monday, and packing Tuesday...
Long drive start Wednesday.
Hope you aren't planning to drive all the way there in one shot, it must be over 20 hours from Calif.
We started prepping rockets yesterday, not quite done yet, but here is the growing pile:
Tomorrow I'm grain bonding a CTI 75mm M840 moonburner, looking for advise on technique from anyone who has done this. If you have, post up here:

That's a LOT of black rockets! At least you don't have to fool with paint much.
The unpainted ones are mine - Sharon Does Not Paint
