In case anyone is interested, there are four days to go on the Tiko - a very inexpensive 3D printer (only $179!). It is a delta style printer (3 vertical motor tracks and printer head position is based on relative position of each motor) with a print volume of about 5" x 6" x 5", and will print in ABS, PLA and nylon. The software is supposed to be integrated, which means it will print straight from the stl file and won't need slicer software. Even though I already have a 3D printer, I am in on this one - my current printer won't do ABS and the print resolution is twice what mine is (.05mm for the Tiko).
If you are wanting to try 3D printing, this could be a good way to get into it for not a lot of money!
