Hi guys,

Just thought that i should post some photos of my current build. Its a launcher with motorized azimuth and elevation. It is being manufactured mainly from 45mmX45mm x-profiles and the necessary angles brackets etc. The vertical support is made from 45X90mm strut profile. All parts (except profiles of course) have been made by myself, including the worm gear. It takes time, but I am finally getting there...Tomorrow I will work on attaching the motor for the azimuth adjustment. I will post pictures of the complete launcher in operation when finished. The axes will eventually be fitted with angular sensors, so i can get exact feedback on position. I know it might be a bit over the top, but I basically found it to be an interesting project in terms of machining and mechanics.

Check out the pics on my homepage: https://future5000x.com/motorized-launcher/

Updated pics and video clip here: https://nraf.no/wp/index.php/2015/05/...-hti-raketter/

Very awesome!! There's no such thing as "a bit over the top" in my book! ;)

As someone who worked on a Student Launch team this past year, this project really interests me! Is there any chance you'll be posting designs/plans on your website for others to replicate your tower?

Some more pictures and a video clip of the motorized launcher are now available on the FB page of NRAF (Norwegian Association of Amateur Rocketry). Check it out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/352206524978730/

When it comes to construction details, I have no blueprint, as I just began with the baseplate and worked my way from there, but I could always give detailed specs of all the component/parts if you are intersted in constucting something similar.
