The "SPIRE"

I had saved some pieces of balsa sheet left over from a kit fin set.
I liked the look and the half round cut out.
Trimmed them up and then skinned em.
... thro in a 18" BT-55,a pointy PNC and cut out some pointy strakes and ya got a making for a rocket.

Im thinking the "Spire"????

Cool fins SD. I especially like the strakes. Got quite a few birds with assorted kinds of strakes too.

Chicken dinner!

Hey, I had chicken today. Straight from the farm chicken. Made a great ckn & broccoli Alfredo.

I'm not as "kit savvy" as some folks. I'd have had no clue where them pieces and parts came from.

I like what I'm seeing here. It looks to me like some marshmellons popped up out of the snow !!

Found this on ebay....Nose Cones, New Estes PNC55BB (Like the cone used on The Black Brandt)Not sure if the seller has the rite info (BB)

Uh, YUP! That's a 55BB.Brian sells em all day long at BRS. Not sure if it's an Estes part, but I have a few of them.

OH YA..Its (WG) a great flier.
It also has had many pictures taken of it by other rocketeers at CMASS launches.
Heres a pic View attachment 257598 there is a vid here(TRF)somewhere of it .Damned if i can find it.

Don't think Ill add much more.(?)
Maybe another small lug and cover on upper ring.The cover(s) look like wing attachment points.
And maybe an "access panel" on the NC ?????

Heres something that may interest some of you...thinking about having a name contest.
Come up with a phrase or words for S.P.I.R.E. use as an acronym.

This is one of the more "Rocket" looking scratchers I've built.
For a design on the fly, spare pieces parts,some sticky paper and glue.......I'm liking how its coming along.
