Very nice!

Are those out-boards canted?

Found my "permission slip" from this customer to show this custom solution to a cluster retainer.....in answer to Bob's prior comment...........

Different in scale of course, but minus the 98mm central, the cloverleaf retainer is pretty adaptable to other layouts.

Ooohhh, haha it does give that illusion haha, no they are all in axial alignment. Interesting idea though. But no, must be some illusion from that perspective.

A long and over due update!

I missed finishing this for LDRS due to worked related time restraints.
Lucky enough to have today off as part of the Fourth of July Holiday.
I decided to attempt to put the final touches on this build.

First thing on the list is to install a recovery hard point for the booster.

I had a SS 1/4" eye bolt and will fit perfectly in center of the ply-wood coupler bulk plate.
Backed up with a 1/4" lock nut.

Once the epoxy cure, I will be attaching the first of 2 rail button hard points.

This project is still alive!
I've put it in the corner rarely visited.
I've painted it and just need to mount electronics and secure the coupler to the payload tube.

Plan on flying it on 3 x AT DMS I 140 WL's at Dec MDRA launch.

It's been a while but, some might like it....

I flew the Tri-Star for it's second flight on: 3 x 38 mm X 4 Grain I 370's EX propellant.
Perfect flight, all motors lit with BKNO3 / Viton dipped igniters. They lit almost instantly!
