I've been collecting all the things I need to make a launch pad I can take with me to different launch sites fitted to fit my rockets. Here are the beginning of what I have going on. I forgot to add that the trailer will also carry my ATV to retrieve my rockets. For them long walks of coarse.

Looks good, just wondering why you didnt pick up a section of Rohn Tower?

Good luck with the build! I always wanted a trailer pad but I will need a new truck first. I am almost done building my new pad and I would suggest using pillow blocks as your pivot. I used 1" pillow blocks and a 1" evaporative cooler blower shaft from your local hardware store.

Rdbones I have less than 10.00 in this tower and I like to make things. I made a pivot point bracket out of 1/2 steel I will show it when I get closer to welding it on the platform. Here is a picture of where I plan to mount the tower. I will bring it up so it will lay flat on the trailer for loading a rocket. Thanks for any ideas that you guys have one can't always get it to work the first time. Jus_sockets I like your pivot point. Looks like it will rotate smoothly with the bearings.

Thank Bill.

Made the tower pivot and rotating bracket. The position of the bracket will be more aft. I need to drag the trailer over to the shop and start torching steel off that is in the way and unneeded. The base of the tower will be welded to the top triangle peace that is seen in the first picture.

Welding not that hard. Buy a small mig welder and practice and before you know it you will be welding good enough for any home projects.
Today I should be getting two more feet of 1515 rail to extend the 8' so I will have a10' rail. I have to weld some aluminium brackets on the rail to mount the rail to the tower. Hopefully I can complete the tower this week. Then all I need to do is paint the thing.

Made some good progress today. I have it where it can be used but I still have some things to finish on the trailer before I can travel with it. Here some pictures of it.

Finished the tower end of it. Added the standoffs for each rocket I have for the 15/15 rail. I will be adding a 10/10 rail also. All I have to do now is paint the trailer and get some new tires.
