Wanted to be an aerospace engineer but the job outlook nowadays is horrible so aiming for mechanical or materials and minoring in aerospace.

I have a BS in Solar Engineering Technology from Colorado Tech. University. At the time, 1981, it was the only college offering an accredited degree in Solar. A year later they dropped the course.

Well my degree is in Hospitality and Food "engineering" (Chef/Hospitality Management) However I hold over 30 IT Certifications and work as a Network Engineer.

Couldn't help but notice that you're self-selecting for only engineers- so you will see the total number of engineers (who reply to the poll), but not the proportion of all users here who are engineers. Would be an interesting data set to see if a disproportionate number of users (more engineers than in the average population) are engineers, or if it's a normal distribution?

good point

BS in Computer Engineering, basically an Electrical Engineering degree focused on digital design with some programming.

I voted "computer", cuz my company called me a "systems engineer" - but I would more accurately be called a configuration specialist...My job has
nothing to do with engineering, but rather selecting the right hardware machines to work correctly in a customer's environment.

Civil PE - structures.

I am an electrical engineer, but have never done any design work. I was a project manager in the USAF. Then in an aerospace company I was a reliability engineer, tech support specialist, tech pubs supervisor, PMA administrator, warranty administrator (best job), and now I am a quality engineer - for 12 more days until I retire.

+1 for Materials Science and Engineering

I work as a semiconductor processing engineer, but have held positions as a process quality engineer and test engineer

Remember the engineering degree hierarchy:
BS = Bull S(tuff)
MS = More of the Same
PhD = Piled Higher and Deeper

Excuse me, but you seem to have overlooked a category.... "Broadcast Engineer"... or would you include that in "Electric Engineer"? Somehow, i don't think true EE's would want us lumped in with them.... LOL!
