Got my quark from Connor yesterday and all I can say is that it's tiny... Thanks Connor!
Yeah, sure is small. I did an Rf ground test with live ematches attached and the only thing I succeeded in accomplishing was a change in the beeper tone with the antenna touching the opto-isolator chip and 5 watts Rf in various pulses. With the antenna next to the Qwark, I
couldn't elicit any adverse behavior. The EggTimer flight computer follows the same design so I'd expect it may respond in the same fashion with testing.
There was no reset or firing of the ematches so that is a very encouraging finding.
I've had a charge fire on ascent one time on a flight that was less than Mach and had a 5 second Mach delay anyways. Likely related
to a tracker.
Also had the charges fire on the pad. Turned the altimeter on, started beeping ready and while I was putting the igniter in
the motor, the beeping stopped. Didn't register on my brain then I jumped back and realized that a charge might fire.
Sure enough the apogee charge blew and while I was fumbling for the key for the keyswitch, the main charge fired with the upper bay
laying 15 feet away. No harm or damage to anyone but to say the least, I'm sensitive to Rf issues. Beware of the 2 watt dog-trackers and make sure your hardware is compatible with it first before flying. Kurt
