was trying to get a handle on parasheet sizes and if I did the math right this is what I came up with:
100in^2/oz for a 10ft/sec descent rate, 44in^2/oz for 15ft/sec, and 25in^2/oz for 20ft/sec descent rate...did I get that right? thanks

It depends on the chute shape, but for a parasheet with a drag coefficient of 0.75 at sea level, those look about right.

oh good, algebra is not one of my strong suits(apparently neither is spelling :)) and I was afraid that I had totally stuffed up the figures. was thinking to generate a 'crib' sheet of sizes vs rocket weights. remarkable how far a rocket will drift descending from 1400' in a 5mph wind...
thanks much.
