The National Academy of Sciences published a study on the effects of perchlorate in water supplies and recommended a conservative limit of 25 ppb but they did not notice any effects below 1 ppm for any populations. Massachusetts on the other hand has a head of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection who knows more than anyone else in the country and has implemented a limit of 2 ppb! It cost one local town several million dollars to reduce the pechlorate concentration in their water supply from 3 ppb to 2 ppb! What lunacy.

My favorite part of the article is that the EPA's assistant administrator for water is a fellow named Grumbles.

But that's just my opinion.
