I have about 10# left of medical grade. You could have used some at RG8.

I will be there, most likely for at least 2 days (Friday-Saturday). Plans as of right now are my 3" Generic Rocket on a 54-800 Orange J375, 54-1750 K800 Blue. Also my Rocket Formerly Known as Onyx on several small motors, namely some Kosdon E40F's, a G71R, and a few 29-2g motors (I know I have at least one G55 Everclear). Pretty small affair for me.

I'm planning to maybe fly my 54mm Skyripper 1120cc once or twice. I'm not quite sure how much NOx that translates into in terms of weight.

I wish. I have been thinking about cloning all of the cases so that I can then fly either Kosdon or EX loads at METRA launches...

    Glenn
No, you only need to be a NAR/TRA member if you want to fly HPR.
We need to see some kind of proof that a person is capable of flying a
rocket with a specific motor. Otherwise you can only fly up to G.

    BBQ at NERRF 6

    BBQ at NERRF??? Ruh roh...

Lloyd and Nadine, our dedicated food vendors who attend most every METRA launch, have proposed staying later on Saturday night and providing BBQ fare.

That said, they'd like some feedback in advance on who's interested in attending. There's a signup form at www.nerrf.org.

Please go to www.nerrf.org and let us know if you will do the BBQ...

NO Sparky loads for NERRF 6

I was asked to report that the METRA sod fields we fly off have been harvested. We will be flying off the black dirt. [ not turned ]

As a result we will not be able to fly sparkies at NERRF 6.

Just in case you are not familiar with the METRA field , the soil is flamable, without sod to protect the black dirt, the black dirt can catch fire and takes a major effort to put out. We experienced this at NERRF 1 after a sparky load flew towards the end of the day.

    Please plan accordingly.

NERRF 6 BBQ registration is OPEN.

Please visit www.nerrf.org and sign up today.

    NERRF Impulse Limitation

For the safety of the large crowds that come to NERRF, we're going to limit the total impulse to "M" for NERRF.

We recommend that if you are flying a big rocket with an "M" load or a complex load that totals to "M", that you register on the NERRF website in advance so we know about your flight and can work with you wherever possible.

Remember -- "M" Total Impulse Limit at NERRF

It seems that I'll be going for my level 2 certification at NERRF this year (with NAR). Two questions about that:

First, does METRA, or any other participating club, have the NAR level 2 tests available? Or do I have to do something special to get one of these, to take on-site.

Second, I need to find myself a certification team. If you'd be willing to help me out Saturday afternoon with test administration and signing off on the flight, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

With NERRF 6 only a little over a week and a half away there are still a ton of volunteer spots open. Remember this is your launch and unless we can fill these slots the launch will come to a screeching halt. So please do your share and sign up. NERRF 6 VOLUNTEER SIGN UP.
