I found a couple estes kits at michael's last weekend and bought them thinking it was a good deal. The kits are the eagle rocket boosted gliders. I got them for $5 each...clearance...

I thought it was a good deal considering the Wizard is $8.99...:surprised:

Yeah, good deal.

Easy build...if you don't follow the directions.

Parts fit nicely, but you'll need to upgrade the recommended adhesives (search TRF).

Using the recommended B6-2 ended in a Red Baron. B6-4 gave a nice (but low) flight.

It's my first boost glider.

They were marked doen to $9 and then this week it looks like they went to "final markdown" of $5. That means the pegs will be re-allocated soon. I wonder what model will take that peg?

The kit has double-sided foam tape for the foam wing (and tail?). Seems to be holding fine after 4 flights.

Somehow the idea of a glider with double-sided foam tape leaves me feeling a bit apprehensive.

3-foot-tall cardstock rockets have the same effect on a lot of folks.

Really, the tape is very strong -- stronger than the foam.
