Two of my students made a Guitar Hero controller into a rocket. Flew well but had some issue getting the parachute out. (stuffer tube failure from the best we could tell) Don't think anyone has done this before but one of you guys would definitely know if they have.

BTW, motor was a G77 redline. All of the ones we used for the class project ignited in the same fashion as this one did. Pop, wait, then motor comes up to pressure.

Yea, we had to fly it in Statesville at a field. Motor mount was solid. Fins worked as they should. Rocket had to turn a little upon launch but after it got up to speed, flew straight and arced over nice.

Very proud of the guys. They knew nothing about making rockets in the beginning of the semester and then were able to do this. Surprised me they would follow through and complete the rocket but they did.
