    Green Build Boards

I see alot of people have this green board they build on that has lots of lines and angles .What is it and were do ya get one? Is it rubber so you can pin down stuff ? I still use a piece of cardboard and wax paper when pinning things down to glue together. Thanks Scotty Dog

It's a cutting mat. They will save your kitchen table or other nice flat surface you're cutting on with an Xcto. Some are self-sealing.
The lines are scale markings and measurement tools.
Some have useful conversions on them too.
They come in varied sizes from ~12"x18" to 36"x72"
You can get them at any art and craft store(Michaels/AC Moore),
www.Hobbylinc.com has them.(thats where I got mine from)You can pin to them. They aren't very thick(~1/8"). Glues do stick to them ,so you would still have to cover them w/ the wax paper though.
I've had epoxy blobs pop off after they cured or clean up rubbing alcohol.

Great planes sells building boards and T pins.

I got my building board at the local hobby store years ago--it was made by Midwest and had two aluminum sides--I think they don't make them anymore.

I have used a drafting board for many years for a building board.

These are wood boards with metal edges:
