What do you mean? Do you mean a booster stage motor? If so, it is a motor designed to be used in multi stage rockets.

they are basically a 'normal" motor without the clay ejection cap and ejectiion charge. DO NOT try and take the clay cap out of a normal motor though. Won't work (might but why chance it? )

It wouldn't. You would also need to remove the delay. Don't try this by the way, as you would have no way of telling when you hit propellant.
