    Strong arm build thread.

Okay, my dad came home to a nice large package on the porch. His strong arm got here.

He is going to build it without the motor block and using Sue's PVC retainer.

After a few mid power flights he is going to fly it on an H97 for his L1.

    Or an H180.

Dad waited for to leave the house to start building it

All it did was sit in the box for the past few days. Somebody is going to have to tell him. Rockets before work

His TRF user name is Weetie11 if you'd like to do so.

Here's the motor mount almost done.

We're going with a slightly modified version of Sue's retainer. It will fit on after the last centering ring.

Body tubes glued together and launch lugs glued in place.

Two strakes cut out. Took him two hours using a hacksaw, #11 x-acto blades and sandpaper.

all right lets skip ahead. You know how fins go on. ect.

Here is the strakes and fins painted metallic gold

Get creative with masking them off.

Spray the nosecone with some metallic red.

then cover the body tube and you end up with one San Francisco-E rocket.

Maybe mark could make some 49er logo decals?

Looks nice! What brand paints did you use?

I keep hoping the 49'ers will one day make a grand come back and play like they did years ago during the Montana then Young days..I STILL get goosebumps watching the last minute touchdown to win a Super Bowl(can't recall which one) a pass that Montana freely admitted he was 'throwing away'..Ahhh, memories..Oh, sorry..Nice rocket BTW..LOL

The paints are called One Coat Lacquer, they dry very fast and require little sanding. They are pretty sweet colors.

Maybe some day they will make it again. I was never alive to see any of their super bowl wins. My dad has shelves and frames filled with 49er stuff all over.

and yes, we have a KBA G65 vs. AT G64 race coming soon.
