I wrote up my technique on simulating a boosted dart that has a tailcone seated inside the booster stage, this was developed durning a discussion with jraice on this forum visit:

The way I simulated the transitions in this article set the stage for part four of the series on short wide rockets which will cover the simulation of spool rockets. I also am working on another article titled "The Simulation of Long Skinny Rockets: What Barrowman Left Out Can Be Put Back In" which deals with body lift.
