Alright, I enjoyed the skid, now I am yearning for a longer burn. I see some skids burn 3seconds. Some of the larger ones 75mm2sec even thou they are bigger. I found some k motors with 4 second burns in other flavors, awesome..then they drop below that. I have not flown the G35's I know they are longer burn. What else is out there that has a nice long 3+second burns? I am trying to decide what hardware to get, then build a rocket for it. I found that the 75mm 1700 amw k450 has a 4 second burn in a red rhino and blue baboon formula. Then the skids in 54mm,J365, have a 2.5second burn. Then there is cost, 54mm are cheaper hardware, with more expensive motors, and the 75mm comparable power motors are much cheaper than 54's in the lower ranges but hardware cost is excruciatingly high. Aerotech I only saw at Red arrow hobbies up to the J570, and that is it. I know they make larger, but, couldnt find. I find I like the lower thrust motors, with more burn, vs. the high power bam and done items.

Try Loki Moon Burners

I110 - 38mm - 4 sec burn
J175 - 54mm - 6.5 sec burn
K250 - 54mm - 7 sec burn
K350 - 54mm - 7 sec burn

CTI might still make their 98mm moon burners.......M-class motor with something to the tune of 13-15 second burns. I've only seen one but it burned forever...most cool but a bit spendy.

Oh, and ellis mountain makes the L-330 in 54mm. I've fired a couple of those and they are sweet. Burns around 9 seconds or so. I think the current K record was with the EM. It's a single use motor so a bit pricey, I think around $220 or so.

Here are some great ones:

Loki I110 - 38mm, 4.5 second
Loki K250 - 54mm, 6.5 second
Loki K350 - 54mm, 7 second
Aerotech J90W - 54mm, 7 second
Aerotech J135W - 54mm, 7 second
Aerotech J180T - 54mm, 4.5 second
Aerotech K185W - 54mm, 7 second
Apogee E6 - 24mm, 6.5 second
Apogee F10 - 29mm, 7.5 second
Cesaroni M520 - 98mm, 14 second
Cesaroni M795 - 98mm, 13 second
Cesaroni N1100 - 98mm, 12.5 second

Note: I omitted the Aerotech K250W because it is a special-order item, and quite expensive ($250).

I ordered a couple of Ellis Mountain G20s, but the seller seems to have disappeared at the moment.

When I do get them, I'm looking forward to seeing how well they do in our Akavish. The combination of the long burn (5.5 seconds) and short delay (3 seconds) should work well for the Akavish because of its light weight and high drag.
