I would have to agree.
Thanks for the cool products John!
I use an engine stand from Harbor Frieght, works great and is very adaptable. With 20% off coupons, they're cheap.

I've used the 29mm Estes retainer a lot without a single issue. They might be a little bulky looking for 24mm, but I would use them on the right models.
I noticed that last week, very good news. Awesome kits to say the least.
Nice job!
Using filler will only get you about 3/4's of the spiral filled. A high fill primer will get you the rest of the way, while also filling all the low spots on the rest of te BT.
Having to give, or choosing to give, one penny to the Russians for rides or hardware is a total embarrassment. Never guessed that would happen. Go SpaceX!
I agree with that 100%.
I was thinking the same thing about the shrouds, hope they get it right.
I really like the SpaceX approach, they have some great people working there as well.
OLD JR gave a nice description. My issue with the Antares is too much foreign built equipment. I much prefer SpaceX, and USA built hardware.
Yep, that's why I took it for some scale details. However, when the transition angles like it does, it's a choir to shape model fins to match. :)
The fins stop about an 1/2" from the bottom of the boat tail. The boat tail doesn't taper very much at all.
I like to get a good finish on my builds. I like shaping the fins, and don't mind sanding on that much. But I've tried to take it down a notch because I want flyers no hanger queens. I have to admit...
I was at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center last Friday and got these pictures of the Patriot. I also have a picture some where that shows a picture of a deployed Patriot that is painted all flat black....
Looks great!
Sweet looking Ventris Samurai! I've flown mine a number of times and it's my favorite Estes mid-power kit so far. Just a good looking design, and the kit is normal high quality Estes.
I use auto almost all the time. The problem with the Snooper is the BT is small so it's hard to get a good focus on it. The larger BT's almost always come out focused. Still sort of a cool picture.
[QUOTE=AfterBurners;503074]It doesn't look like they will be back anytime soon. I hope they return, but it seems unlikely.[/QUOT
I'm hoping that's not the case, their website says look for them in...
I'm really hoping that Qmodeling returns to producing kits. I finally got around to flying my Mars Snooper yesterday, it's been finished for three years. Launched it on a Aerotech E15-4 which turned...
Nice Steve, it's a good flyer too.
No worries, it's going to fly great!
Solar array deployment was successful so progress is being made.
Very nice, great job!
Agreed!
Ok Michael, now you have me interested. I love scale, and would enjoy seeing your stuff. It's a done deal, you must come now! :)
Hello Michael,
Same goes for you! Please arrange to come out and let me know when you plan on showing up. I find our group is very easy to get along with, and I would enjoy the opportunity to take...
Hello Gary,
I saw your email regarding ROCC. I'm the current President of the club and I would like to invite you back and I will personally take you around to meet the members of the club. I've...
That works for me.
