Yes, fill the MESS report out and email estes about the cato and include some pics of the damage. You may just get a new Zinger replacement from them. Sorry for your loss.
I had one snatch one of my koi's from the pond just outside of the livingroom window. It scared the s**t out of me, as I was at the window looking at the pond, when wham! All I could see a blur of...
The only problem with a crow's foot socket, is catching a crow and getting its foot into the tube without getting your eyes poked out!
Welcome back. I hate to say this, but your work bench needs more rocket clutter on it. Just too clean!
I know you are feeling the pain of your loss and your house is a little empty, but all I can hope is that someday we will be reunited with all of our pets and once again enjoy their love and...
I have used a piece of wire, bent at one end and scrapped the slot to expose fresh fuel. All the motors lit.
He was really funny. Sad, very sad. RIP
I'm a BP and pickle sandwich man. It is one of the few sandwiches that can sit around on a hot day and not go bad.
You guys have really done it! Now I have 2 songs bouncing around in brain.....must think of a new song! A song I like. Noooooooo! Crap! "Some where over the rainbow" just started! Ugh!!!!!!
As Luke said, I have used flour for tracking and never had any problems. But in high school I used to blow the lids off of paint cans to simulate explosions in school plays by using a paint can,...
Thank you and good night, Chet.
Yes, me too...then I met Judy.
Nice! Great camera, too! Need more video's.
A sad for our Navy. RIP
I thought it was a nice article. The X-15 looks like a good museum model if he doesn't want to fly it.
Hmmm... Who is going to run it down if it starts to fly off?
My family home looks directly south to the slide area. All the bluffs on that side of Whidbey Island have been sloughing away for years. Muzzal's Bluff, slid while I was high school and threaten my...
No! The winter rains had taken their toll. It fell apart when I picked it up. It now sits on a shelf as a reminder to properly fold the parachute and to do a puff test before flying.
I'll drink to that! It is great to have a wife who thinks about your hobby and doesn't complain. Now, where is the bottle of Chardonnay? I got a rocket to build!
Don't worry, it will be OK. I loaded one at the end of summer, but did not fly. I placed it in a zip lock bag, removed most of the air and stored it till I flew in January and it was fine.
I am glad you found it. I had an SR 71 stay hidden for 9 months after the chute failed to deploy. I found it in the blackberries just 8 feet off of the road. I don't know how many times I walked past...
I usually make mine about an inch longer than the motor and I have had no problems whats so ever.
Oh, you lucky dog! No flying weather here today...just too windy and too much rain. I am glad you had fun.
Nicely done. Build On! I'm trying to attach a name to the rocket...other than "dad rocket" it looks so familiar and it reminds me of something, just can not put a name to it. I'm sure you will come...
Just a word to the wise, you may want to contact the building inspector or the fire marshal's office about your installation. Numerous fires have been caused by fires spreading from a fire pit to an...
First off, a warning about shortening the body tube by 8 inches. By reducing the body tube you will be changing the cp and cg of the rocket which will affect the stability of the rocket. I would stay...
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Spacepirate R,:cheers:
I also flew on my birthday in January, but I had some upper wind issues that blew the rockets the wrong way. Nice way to start the year.
Things that should be considered with the slug launch.
1. Do not add salt to the payload bay or you will have a slimy mess!
2. Throw in some snails and launch them over to your neighbors yard in...
Aaaah, it is a good thing that you cann't see mine...it's piled 3 layers deep. It would take me an hour to just clean off the radial arm saw to use it. The wife is threatening to throw everything...
