Im thinking that X5 shock cord is too much... The booster section might of been gaing speed when it got to the end of the cord.

I know what you mean! I have 3/16 on my Guardian. All my low powered(C and below) have 3/16. D12 and up gets 1/4 lugs.


I would say 1/4 for your QCC, just to be sure its good.

Last launch was my S.S.L.E Eagle rocket on its second flight. I got a vid of this too.
This time it used a D12-3 and 2xB6-2s in the fall off boosters.

One of the boosters light a little late, so...

I went through 3 flights on my estes Saturn V until I got a picture perfect one I really liked!
1 with a D12, it was nice, but to low.
1 E20, Crash, no nose weight, little...

50 feet should be plenty as long as the chutes arnt packed so tight...

50 feet is pretty far up... Now where the ejection occurs...Is another story.
