Thanks for the info. I had an idea of how to use it but the extra wire never came to my mind. Like you said a little extra wire when things are be tossed about will help a lot.

You really did a nice job on the DSL rocket. Looks like a brand new build.
gp
I think in on one post he said he was going to show some pictures of how he does it.

Jeff
I have one I never used yet. How do you rig yours up??

You are unreal. How do you keep it going? The plug looks great. What size cone will be made from the plug?

Is there a way for you to rent motor case and items form a dealer. Some have them to rent if you buy the reload from them.

I know the guy who makes the resin cones. He has never had any problems with them. I will give him a call.

Hi again I just talked to Jerry about the nose cone leak, It happens when the mix of...
I also tape the 9V connector to the battery.

I to hope they still make the gel coat cones, just want them to fit nice.
gp
I am sure that is why Curtiss is making filament wound metal tip nose cones. Its a better way of making the nose cone fit a coupler tube and body tubes. Most likely he won't even make gel coat nose...
1/2 mile.

Guys
Its not all the nose cones fault. When the tubes are made they are made on a tapered tube so they can be removed easy. Its like once the fin slots are cut that end of the tube collapses in...
I built my L-3 project with PML 7.5" tubes, fins were G-10, The nose cone was a PML fiberglass nose cone. I didn't fiberglass the tube. Plus I went with a single chute at the top. Flew it on a...
I have never heard of a RSO at a launch when checking out your rocket for flight say pull out your motor I want to see the motor case.
gp
Hi I went through the same thing you are talking about with my Gizmo XL. Yes you should go a head and sand the inside of the tube. Use a dremal or other sander or you will kill yourself doing it by...
Talk to the dealer where you purchased the reload. They should know.
gp
Eric you are so right. I saw the flights at the Bong. 1 grain I looked at had the spiral marks from the casting tube on the outside
of the grain.
Yes one big bang with rear ejection of the nozzle...
I would guess he will fly it at Princeton at the end of May. Very nice work.

The Recon 50 is for rocket max weight of 12lbs descent speed of 25fps.
gp
Miki and I wish you well. Sorry for your loss.

Gary
I was thinking of using a line cutter.
gp
Very nice flights Gary. Was the 5.5 Nike dual deploy? I have the 5.5 Smoke built and have flew a number of times. I should get a section of tube and make mine DD.

To all
You guys are all so kind. My Wife Miki is also a very big part of TFR she puts in many hours to bring you our products. And to all of our customers over the last 21 years you are all a great....

I was at the launch in WI where some of the WT reloads had problems. I just want to thank you and CTI for getting right at fixing the problem.
Thanks
Gary
One of the guys killed is from Wi. I think they said he was the pilot.

That is one very fine looking rocket. It really makes the point of a Pro rocket. Like Proline. Maybe I won't wait for the V2.
gp
Very nice flight. The AT L-850 is still one of my favorite reloads. Lots of white smoke and fire.
