flew my bit longer mini fat boy and sprint xl Saturday launched the mfb twice, once on a B4 - 4 & once on the 'big' motor a C6 - 5. the B4-4 was a rather tame flight to about 300'(good demo, small...
you're welcome, but don't sell yourself short! I did the easy part :), you had to make it work. I can't find it either but I suspect it was sometime around the beginning of March 2013 shortly after...
launched a few rockets Saturday...posted a new video http://youtu.be/yCwh5E1unbA taken from my up scaled Goblin (this time the rate of rotation is much less :)).

two problems of note (1) you need a shorter time step 0.0005 works (2) you have a booster motor (no delay) in your sustainer. oh, and 3500' :).
rex
posted a bit on how to copy/paste parts from one rocket onto another rocket :).
rex
could you post the file so we can look it over? thanks,
rex
I used the links you provided in your original post and down loaded both the fin can and the predator jr .rkt files...I think that you will need to copy paste the transition separately...I would do...
I've seen this discussed before(about guns on merchant ships), think it stems from insurance and/or international agreements.
left out one step, you have to select the body tube of rocket that you wish to graft the fin can on to, before OR will let you paste. just got through copy/pasting a baby bertha fin can to a big...
try this, open both files. select the parent component of the fin can, then using the 'edit pulldown menu' click 'copy'. now switch to the rocket file and 'paste'(ctrl +v) the fin can, it should now...
I kinda like these sort of pic :).

what I meant was check everything (wires included) from the battery to the altimeter. course the fault may be the altimeter itself but, at least you'll know that it isn't the wiring.
rex
I'd check your power connections.
rex
you might try wrapping them with label paper then use white/yellow glue to attach them.
rex
38mm correct, and thank you.
rex
you should see what they came with originally...you have to be carefull sliding them on the rod or you'll pop the nose off(the fg nose was more than a triffle oversized for base dia., almost need to...
actually the current kits come w/ a 1 piece cast resin nose that look rather nice, this one came with a resin tip. I shant bore you with the price I paid...but it was a limited sale item :). thought...
some ought to paint a big betty black, and call it 'Ram Jam' :).

use some form of thread locker on your u-bolt threads.

got a good chuckle when I saw what the motor textures look like (3-d unfinished view)...like the 'motorjet' texture :). and then I found that you can play with the light source(left click&drag in the...
I've (mentally) timed apogees and found OR to be pretty close to the mark(provided your design file is accurate), delay times...that is another fettle of kish IIRC they can vary +/- 15% from the...
one could, make a 2-stage bertha...:)

wonder where she got the 'dangerous' toilet bowl cleanser, and if she got it at school?
rex
