Deepest thoughts and prayers being sent your way.
Scott,
Do you have an estimated weight of this bird?
I've only used the Rustoleum Engine Enamel (500F) for exaust protection, I misunderstood your application so I have no experience
I use Rustoleum Engine Enamel.
I agree.
You can contact them and ask, but I'm thinking not. I put my big wrap decal on about 2 weeks ago. It was a challenge, it put two small tears in two places, but small enough I still got it on and...
I don't know much on the subject, but I admit, if I sold something and someone gave a demand like your university did-I too would be suspicious. Maybe he could have responded slightly different, but...

Here is pics of mine with custom paint scheme. Flown nicely twice on G64Ws this past summer.
Anybody have a RockSim file for the Estes STM 012? I've searched and have been unable to locate. Thanks in advance.
I use Rusto Painters Touch Ultra 2X on almost everything and I am pleased with the results I get. Recently used quite a bit of Gloss White on 3 rockets-no problems here.
Me too. I got to0 tight of packaging and dented tubes. I contacted Estes and they sent a replacement kit. I received it today and low and behold, dented tubes again. It's all in the packaging. ...
Got my Bomarc and Jayhawk !
Madcow Super DX3. Nice size, 1/4" fins that have bottoms forward swept-this minimizes andy landing impact to snap/crack a fin-which would negate your L1 attempt-my opinion. Only mods I did was put...
Looks like I'm gonna spend some more money-just like last year. New kits ?? Looking forward to those hints.

I use a jump start pack as well. It is a Duracell DPP-600HD. It has a 12V DC plug and (3) std 110V plugs in addition to the jump jaws. You can plug in and charge indefinely. It is a sealed lead...
After installing the ejection charge, did you put the motor vertical and tap it a few times to make sure the BP was against the delay grain?
I've only used one, with success first time. Used it after two Copperheads failed on a Aerotech G64W. I guess I'll see.

Yes, the wood floor stuff w/o acrylic is the wrong stuff. You want the vinyl tile stuff w/acrylic.
I've heard on here some people mixing a small amount of simple green but I don't fully understand...
Thanks guys, since I'm just getting into it, that gives me a good idea of the how, what's and whys.
Is it a common rule of thumb to have the length of the bulkhead coupler installation length into the body tube equal to the diameter of the rocket (where it seperates)? For example, 4" long for a 4"...
I tried Quest. I like the ignitors and straw to hold them in, but other than that, I prefer Estes, maybe because I have more experience with them and didn't notice much difference. Estes engines...
Very nice Mark. Looks like a new product offering !
I first put the can in a bowl of hot water to warm the paint, even in 50F plus environment. I then usually shake for 60-90 seconds after the ball starts rattling. I make sure I "swirl" the ball...
I'm currently building my Super DX3 for my L1. I've used both #8 screws and plastic rivets (.155 dia) for holding on nose cones of MPR rockets. I prefer the removable rivets. Wondering if there is...
I haven't flame polished. At 1/16" I just progressively sand down to 400 gt, then I final polish with Future Shine and it looks good. I suppose you could buff polish with w/dremel or flame polish,...
