Sounds interesting! Glad you're back in it, Adrian.

Sounds interesting! Glad you're back in it, Adrian.
I'll recycle my request from another thread:
I'd like to log a request for a Pro98 5G+spacer Skidmark which would yield nearly a full M (9582M2195?) that I can fly in CA.
Thanks for...
In my experience all moonburning motors exhibit angled flame to some extent at pressure-up. I first submitted a brief report and photos documenting this to AT about 10 years ago. As the burn...
Nice new motors, CTI!
I'd like to log a request for a Pro98 5G Skidmark which would yield nearly a full M (9582M2195?) that I can fly in CA. :)
Thanks for your consideration and keep up the...
Excellent flight, Darrel, and congratulations again!
I just received notice from Greg Lyzenga that this launch is cancelled due to BLM permit issues. It could be as long as three months before this is resolved and we can fly at Lucerne again.
Portlandia on IFC is truly hilarious! Here's their take on BSG:

I like your design as is, Adrian, but I can wait until the capacitor's fixed. Thanks!
I would LOVE a Mac version of FIP, Yoehahn! Can you add motor and CD analysis ala ARTS2 at some point as well? :)
In the interim I use Parallels (www.parallels.com) and Windows 7 without a hitch.
Yep! Good times:

While I'm an advocate of hardcopy prints I think a PDF is just fine in this case, Gary. :)
I'm pretty sure v1 has a "This End Up" arrow marked on the board. V2 can be mounted either end up and has no such marking.
Ditto. I flew an H54 at last weekend's launch at Plaster City and had a liner burn-through. It left a chunk of liner in the casing and burned off the exterior label in that area. I don't see a...
Ditto. Even if I used a laser interferometer to position the drill bit on the exterior I'd still have a screw jutting out of one side of the centering ring.
I'm pretty sure he sources from Performance Rocketry based on what he carries and uses for his personal builds.
Nice pics!
Just out of curiosity were you using motor ejection as backup? If so that could have popped before apogee as well.
Here are my favorite shots from Friday @ 11AM through Sunday @ 3PM. You can tweak the slideshow settings at the bottom of the page. Enjoy.
Thanks for your thorough reply, Rick. I look forward to this event and applaud your arrangement of N-P motor flights in CA. I hope those in charge in the CA government elect to remove these...
Hi, Rick.
Would you consider moving the low power pads (A-D motors) off to the side with a separate LCO to improve HPR efficiency? We do that at Plaster Blaster in San Diego and the HPR launch...
When I was about 15 years old (~1984) I built a custom 2" rocket I called Marauder with a central 29mm and 3x24mm outboard pods. Marauder's first and only flight was on a central SSRS F67 and 3 SSRS...
I think you need to add the fin to the main body tube first, verify the fin is selected, then add the tube pod to the fin tip. I like pods but they're confusing in their implementation.
I hope...
Gary and Karl attended Plaster Blaster 8 this last weekend and flew two demo motors targeting maximum loudness. I don't recall the name or designations but they were indeed loud. Any comments,...
Excellent, Gary! In your original press release you showed a vented, tapped forward closure. Do you think that might ship as an option later?
You've consistently rocked the rocketry world since...
And don't forget that Korey Kline successfully flew a spin-stabilized FINLESS rocket in 1982:

I viewed that flight in person...
I second Adrian's opinion. I buy 60" wide 5.8 oz CF at aircraft spruce for $38.50/linear yd:

I used fiberglass on a number of...

First off, DMcCauley, it's "ScientICIAN in training." It's something my friend made up at work. No thetan levels here. Oh and I've been flying for 32 years, I've earned my level 3, and now it's...
To be clear: I agree with all of your concerns including the RSO. I'm utterly shocked that I can't find a single recorded flight above 25k with this awesome motor. I started this thread to gather...
That reads pretty harsh, Fred.
I've simmed my rocket many times and it's well under the waiver. I've shared this with the RSO and that's not yet good enough for him. The prevailing opinion is...
