Thanks, it is scratch just got some numbers off the web and punched it out. This is mostly a prototype to overcome the gap staging concerns and recovery of the booster stage. And get some design...
It's just a center 18mm in the booster stage. At the time four cluster booster seemed a bit overkill with this small of a rocket. I does sound like a plan though.

Built me a LPR two stage Nike Herc, the gap stage is over six inches and vents out through one of the booster tubes. Its just 18mm to 18mm and it scales out pretty accurately with BT-50 booster...
Ok waiting for some replies from those next in line, and we will get this moving again.

I checked the radar it had a thunderstorm over the launch site??? *&^%#@@#^$%*&(*&^%$#%$#^%&^*
Ok this is getting ridiculous. WE ARE GETTING RAINED OUT AGAIN!!!!! 90 deg on Monday to 50 deg and RAIN on Saturday this whole launch season has been a complete bust! (place curse words here)

I bought two G-64s and had the same problem with both. I peeled off a layer and it slid right in. I was worried they changed the case sizing or something, my 29/120 is almost 20 years old.

Booster coupler is done. The booster as a whole is almost done got fillets and some details to go.
TA
Thanks.
And it didn't even take half as much time to make as it would have to turn it. Very few tools involved.

The epoxy paper cone worked out so well i'm going to have to remember that one and use it on other scratch projects.
I just about have the booster coupler done, just a few more details. This part...
Hummm, a good idea.

That sounds like a great option, most boosters move away from the sustainer pretty quick so not a whole lot of time in between the two events is needed, so one sec would be enough it takes 1 to 2...
Shellac cheap dries fast and everything sticks to it, paint epoxy wood glue. And you can sand in 30 min to an hour.

Capsule is sweet my friend cant wait to see it with the tower.
TA
Thanks
LOL I have done that too. Wasn't funny at the time.
Ya this not having a lathe is kicking my butt.
Its System Three, It tacks up in about one hour and is hard and sandable...
Well it would be nice to be able to turn that off, Or allow us to disable one of those three start up options if it doesn't fit within our needs. The break wire would be the only one that might...
Finally got to build some rocket this week. I'm having a hard time getting to a lathe to get my booster nose cone made up, so I decided to bag it and and make a paper cone instead.
Its just a...
So can the break wire part of the staging be disabled? Seems like it would be if your intention is just an air start?
TA
What about staging? Any high power output?

I use it quite a lot for just holding rockets while I work on them, the best part is I can extend the head all the way up and I can work on stuff with out having to bend over, it is all around an...
That is a screaming deal on the Loki reloads.

This might be a good reminder for dual deployment back up. Now that the Adept DDC is gone we need a new manufacture to develop a cheap way to have a redundant system. Maybe Adept would sell there...
LMAO!

I would have to say the new 38mm 120 I just got is a work of art. I spent 20 min admiring the high polish shine the nozzle. Seriously considering refitting all my larger 29mm rockets to 38mm.

My pliers came in the mail today, now I fully understand. Cost me $22 plus $5 for shipping, ordered them Tuesday, ten minutes after scratching my case. From McMaster-Carr my new favorite store, and...
30k for a cat? That would be a dead cat if it was mine.

Costs a ton of money to certify motors in the Peoples Republic Chin.. California.

Tripoli research launch? CRAP It was originally the 11th now I see on the web site it has been moved to the 25th!? :sigh: Well looks like it will be the next sport launch on the 18th.

My Mini Magg will be ridding a Loki J-396 spitfire in 11 days time to 3000+ feet. As long as the weather cooperates that is. To much wind in March and to much rain in April, there had just better be...
