It was too wet/humid to paint, so I wet sanded the first color coat on my Ultimate Wildman. Also did some work on an av-bay for a Madcow Aerobee-Hi.

My 3" Wildman DD named "Ludicrous Speed". It flies everything from mild to wild, and if I get ever get bored I've got a minimum diameter booster for it that changes it to "Gone to Plaid".
Thanks everyone for the info. I'll check with Mark's site.
Is there an official repository of the current RSE files for Rocksim now that Rocketry Planet is gone? I've searched here but didn't find anything. I can do it individually from ThrustCurve, but...
There's two types of Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty. It sounds like you're using the single part product. There's a Pro version that comes as 2 part mix - a heavy white paste and a red cream...
I wish I could mod up the previous post. It's the most insightful thing I've seen in quite a while.
Well said, Sully.
Awesome flight Gary! I wish I could have been there to see it.
Congrats!
When I first started, I had no goals beyond level 1. I enjoyed mid power and looked at high power as the logical next step.
The following year I planned to go to LDRS, so I did my L2 a couple...
James;
Did you manage to get your Gizmo back?
Take a look at this shot that I took of your flight. It looks like your top rail button might have failed.
Thanks all.
I flew my first 'M' motor on my L3 cert. flight last weekend. Here's a CTI M2505 White Thunder (3G 98mm) in an Ultimate Wildman. I apologize for the lack of contrast, but it was a pretty grey day. ...
Thanks everyone.
Rick - I'll probably just take some smaller stuff for right now. I want to get a coat of paint on 'High Anxiety' before I fly her again, plus I've got a boatload of AMW 'L'...
Thanks Gary. I'm looking forward to RG next month, but I may only get to go for a day. Michele is having surgery at the beginning of the month and I have to see how her recovery is going first. ...
Thanks everyone :)
CJ - yep, I've been fakin' it for years. I figured now was a good enough time to put a ring on it. The weather has shut me down since November. First, hurricane Sandy set...
The weather gods finally took pity on me and allowed me to get my L3 cert. flight done today. 'High Anxiety' (an Ultimate Wildman) flew to 8560 feet on a CTI M2505 White Thunder with a successful...
Nice pics and some great flights!
I've got the Ultimate Wildman which should be similar. My ready-to-fly weight with a 4 grain 98mm motor is 49 pounds. I'm using a SkyAngle Cert3 XL for the main which gives me a decent rate of...
Got mine on order. Thanks Tim!
E-mail sent last night.
Looks great Scott. Count me as interested if you move forward with a 4" kit.
Costco is a good source for nitrile gloves here in south Jersey.
If you put the drogue in the lower section close to the av-bay, it will tend to keep the upper section above the lower prior to main deployment. This can help prevent the main from fouling on the...
Be very careful adding weight to the Madcow nosecones if you use epoxy. I'm not sure what the material is (polypropylene?), but epoxy doesn't adhere well to it. If you drop BB's or something into...
Just my opinion, but I've found that the 17-40 is a bit short for a general walkabout lens. I find myself reverting back to my 28-135 kit lens just for the extra reach, especially when hiking and...
Ok, how many of you out there saw the subject and thought the article was about the mid 80's video game?
I don't think I can remember the amount of quarters that I sunk into that machine.
I've had the Craftsman saw for a few years and it's worked out pretty well. I've used it to cut ply as well as FG without problem. The only issue that I have is the fence. I'm not sure if it's...
I'm with Jim on this one. A consolidated assembly would be cool, but getting a color selection so that we could match the adapter to the rocket would be awesome.
It's ready to go, just waiting in the garage :) Hoping for nice calm weather on the 12/13th. I tried to get it done on the 16th, but the weather just didn't cooperate.
I'm shooting to have my L3 flight done before then, but if the weather doesn't cooperate then I'll do it at RGXIV. I've got a rocket built for the H-I, and J-L Mach Madness competition. Should have...
My second time through, the rash started a few days after the tick was removed. I'm pretty sure it was on me less than a couple of days. My rash started small and expanded outward. If I remember...
