As Julia Child once noted, you begin to appreciate McDonald's when you've tried to get a meal in Cleveland.
You were.
I had something older in mind, Fred. Like how retail presentation is organized and how often an inventory is done. Like knowing enough about sales to recognize the need to inventory specific areas...
I wonder how anyone got along doing inventory control before computers.
It isn't about the technology. It's about how you do the job.
It's a bit convoluted, but here goes; you were trying to post to something one of your friends commented on but the original source doesn't allow friends of friends to reply.
Steam nostalgia is a prime example of the good old days not being quite so good. All that power came at a price that made it an easy decision to dump steam for diesel. For every hour of running, a...
That would work. A field showing optimum delay calculated as the difference between apogee and motor burn out displayed both on screen and in the print table.
I'm with Greg on this. I've asked for this twice and gotten no response. Not a yes. Not a no. It's become more important as things like the ability to modify delays in reload, and now SU motors...
I'm not paying you to be my shrink. You got my answer.
Some of you seem to think because you've been around these forums longer you're entitled to have everyone else snap-to and bow down to your pronouncements. As for your fantasy story, it's either a...
You're expecting me to know what's in someone else's mind? You got my answer. It may not be an answer you like or the answer you wanted, but you don't get to decide what my answer will be. I...
The implication in this post is that I have a problem with 24mm retainers. That is incorrect. I think 24mm retainers are a good idea. I think anything smaller is not, and a check of the thread...
Always? I can't answer for other people.
GDJ, you, OTOH, need to look in the mirror and ask yourself why you have such a problem with people who don't reflexively agree with you and why you need to publicly display your problem.
You're welcome. As I have nothing against Estes I'm not sure why you think your comment would bother me. OTOH, more overweight rockets do nothing for the hobby.
Not having a drivers license seems like it'd be right up your alley. :D
Actually, GDH, you don't get to tell me what to do, either.
One way to insure you won't be called is to not register to vote.
Actually, Paul, I get to state my opinion as often as I like. And I don't take orders from you.
Just like you, Paul, I'm free to express my opinion of something.
You're free to build rockets any way you like. Are you suggesting my comments are getting the way of that? I think the anger issue is little more than a projection.
So, anyone who has a different opinion than yours is automatically angry? That answers a lot of questions about the nature of conversation these days.
I hate to get in the way of a rant, but the BATF moved to regulate composite motors several years before 9-11. On 9/11/2001 my composite motors were already in a Type 4 magazine that had been...
It's going to be interesting to see how easily you can unscrew a plastic retainer of the type Estes is using in the 29mm version from a rapidly heat cycled motor tube.
Your pop bottle retainer is probably lighter than what Estes would supply for 18mm motors. Is that any faster than using the traditional Estes motor clips? What's the advantage? If you're using a...
You're free to waste your money any way you please.
If you need anything more than masking tape to retain your 18mm SU motors you're doing it wrong. If you need anything more than a standard engine hook to retain your 18mm reloads your doing it...
No, we don't need them in 18mm. It puts weight in exactly the wrong place for already overweight rockets. 24mm is useful. 18mm would be a waste.
Then don't fly that rocket with a motor that will push it that high. It's no different than driving a Ferrari. Sure, it can do 200 MPH. Are you qualified to drive it that fast?
Fly the field. If you can't recover a rocket going to 2000 ft, don't fly it from that field. Just because you can buy a rocket/motor combination that will out fly your field doesn't mean you have...
