Ahhh, yes indeed, an EVIL Smiley. Just needs a pinky finger upturned to the corner of the mouth.
Scott Evil
I played this through my stereo and cranked it up to 11 for the kids.
It was really really coo...Uh-oh gotta go, the police are pulling in!
Wow! Who'da thunk it!
Having the attention span of a ferret on methamphetamines, "I" found the instructions that came with my RRc2 Minis a bit confusing due the PDF formating of the pages.
What I did was print the PDF...
Click on your motor mount, click EDIT, then click into the GENERAL tab and you'll find a "LOCATION" slider.
Have fun.;)
My best guess is the dynamics of recovery is (sort of) the best answer.
My L2 rocket "hatched" its 20" TAC 1 drogue at apogee, spun around it all the way down to 700' and then "hatched" the 60"...
Looks Good! Very nice repair Gillard!
But subject your repairs against your local temp extremes before you head out for the next launch. (example) tight fitting PML pistons in colder weather type...
Sorry, a baited thread just fishing to see who bites. :monkey: :beers:
Good Luck!
I flew my L1 cert rocket then immediatly took the L2 written towards the end of May (same day). I then completed my L2 build and flew for L2 cert in the end of Sept...So, well, it worked for me.
My Gosh Man! Look what you did to the finish on that bulkhead!
Whatcha think?
I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it or even try it.
Amongst the pile o' raw scratch build materials stacked up in my garage is some 1/2" high density polystyrene "GreenGuard" foam...
Mwahahahaha!

I've had yellow Fusion craze over yellow Fusion. Pilot error mind you as I only waited 3~4 days to apply the second heavy coat after a bake-out in my truck.
However, even after sanding most of it...
I wonder also, if taping sticky side out helps things a bit by not having anything still adhered to the line as it straightens out.
My boots rarely catch fire when I untie them, but then again, I don't often pull 30' of laces out tight in a 1/10th of second either.
I used the chain stitched shock cord thing (mainly for...
Just be patient and let the "new" stuff work the bugz out on their own. Whatcha already have is pretty righteous as is, no? Best and only advice I can contribute, for whatever it's worth.:pop:
[EDIT]...Double tapped post...
Gerald,
DUDE!...You Rock!
The "good" camera we brought managed to semi-fail and over wrote over all of our pics.
Thanks for posting these.
BTW, Welcome to TRF!
Arrrrgh Matey,
Paul, it was great to meet ya. THANK YOU for coming out to the pad and helping me figure out how to get this rocket ready for "Go Flight".
Flying Spaghetti Monster, Meet Crapien...
Wow! Now that's a gotcha I never saw coming. I think I'll look around a bit and see if I can find a better selection of fiberglass around here.
I'm glad I asked.
Thanks Kevin.
Maybe look into group rate/volume discount from a rocketry vendor for rocket parts and shared motor hardware (Pro 29/38 cleans up real quick).
Some 8'' concrete forms waiting in the garage to be turned into an upscaled scratch built version of my L1 rocket.
All tubes will fit real nice together with just a veil layer of glass or so on...
I'll second troj on absolutely PERECT alignment.
I spent A LOT of time and concentration on alignment/mounting of the large PML rail guides on my L2 rocket.
As it turned out, I still spent...
Quite the dis-jointed build thread...
I did in fact marginally succeed with my L2 cert flight Saturday at the TWA launch. I'll discuss that later in the thread after my alt bay stuff with flight...
As you can see, all this dedication to detail and expense really pays off in the end.
[My sarcastic humor, see the little yellow and black spec between pad 4 and 5?]
A quick hose down with black laquer, then some of the new yellow Krylon...I won't get into the details...but Krylon crazes over Krylon if you don't read and understand the directions.
Oh...
How about one of LOC Bruiser variants?
