Ive used Aerocon in the past with very good results with both key switches. Dont use the phono plug method. The high G-force could momontarilly open the switch and reset the electronics in flight...

You didnt mention what type shock cord also. If its a nylon or kevlar strap use as much as possibe it compacts down easily. The nylon has a little stretch the kevlar almost none. I use kevlar only...

Mike have you tried to put a 38mm in the booster. I would think the 38-120 would give you more room for the parachute. then you could put a G-339 in it.
