I wanted to do this. But I need to clear it with someone first.
Personally, I would have liked less "action thriller" and more "morality play" Don't get me wrong, I like a good sci-fi action thriller; but Trek, to me, is - or at least should be - more than that....
I believe it was called the USS Vengeance.
Last night, I helped one of my cub scouts assemble a scratch designed rocket. I provided some different nose cones, fin designs, and body tube lengths. He picked out what he wanted and we worked...
I saw it this past Sunday with my mother. And my department is going to see it tomorrow during "lunch". While I did enjoy it, especially the parallels to another trek movie (with a role reversal)...
No, obviously, he's wearing impulse on the hat. :p
ordered some parts from semroc and doghouse rocketry. came up with some simple fin designs for my bear den to use tomorrow night
This.
I have no problem buying replacement o-rings, I just wanted to make sure I was getting the correct material. :)
Got the motor mount and fins glued into my Ventris. (That's what I wanted to make the fin alignment jigs for.)
Now I need to decide if I'm going to build the nose section stock, or convert it into...
Went to the local hobby shop and got some BT-50, a pack of nose cones and some motor mounts in anticipation of helping one of my cub scouts build a rocket. (Last week's build session didn't go too...
DAWWW! :o
YIEEEGSHH! :eyepop:
a little more research, and I think i may have answered my own question (Buna-N)
as confirmed by CarVac. Thanks!
I'm not sure how, but I've managed to lose the delay o-ring for my last 29/40-120 reload. (Well, not my LAST last, just the last one I have on hand.)
I figured it would be a simple matter to buy...
Yay! Time to take a look at what's out there and put together a new wish list. :)
HEY! NO FAIR! ROCKY GETS SECONDS!
(have we derailed this thread enough yet?)
Hmm - I used to play Rocky, now I look more like Eddie too.
well, you won't have to worry about getting multiple lugs/buttons lined up...
Thanks, ad yes I'm pretty sure they'll be back. They signed up for family membership, but I'm not sure if that was on the way in or on the way out. In any case, we all try to do whatever we can to...
2 days ago at this point - I was at the LUNAR launch at Nasa Ames on saturday. Mostly helped kids get rockets hooked up correctly on the pads, but I did take advantage of a slow period (both in # of...
Well, the first MPR capable rocket I started construction on was my King Kraken, but it's only seen H motors. (Well, H motor.)
The first MPR rocket I completed and flew was the Crayon rocket kit...
"Because I've seen (THIS MOVIE TOO MANY ------- TIMES!) blue skies, in my mind..."
(I used to be on a cast. So I really HAVE seen that cult movie too many times. Even 10-15 years later, my wife...
*meekly raises hand*
Would it be possible to get in on this offer?
This intrigues me. Does that mean these might be available for purchase soon? (Or are they already and I missed the announcement?)
EDIT: Ah, search reveals the release is imminent -...
Ok - The box has been taped up and I'll run it over to the post office at lunch. Just a warning, my contribution is skewed a bit towards mid-power. I hope that's okay.
Hey Layne, I'm guessing...
I'll look again, but I don't think there's a return to label.
RokitMan88 - I think the plan is to send the box back to dr wogz at this point, but I'm double-checking.
so yeah, I double checked. I'll be shipping it to RockitMan88. should be on it's way by...
Hey dr wogz, check your PM inbox, I have a question. :)
(also - I don't see your address in the box anywhere...)
built a quest tracer with my almost-five-year-old and started filling the spirals on the tubes destined to be a ventris.
ment to post this on Friday: helped run 3 build sessions for 6th graders...
I took delivery of a box of parts/tools for the rocketry box pass. Now I have to paw though it and figure out what I want to keep, and what I'm sending along to the next person
As promised, unboxing pictures:
